About NonStop Barcelona

NonStop Barcelona is a Barcelona-based platform dedicated to the visual development of films, animation, and video games. Since our first edition in 2009, we’ve grown from a local animation festival into one of Europe’s most anticipated meeting points for concept artists, illustrators, and visual development professionals.

Today, NonStop Barcelona is best known for two flagship events:

The Visual Development Seminar — our annual, multi-day gathering held at DHUB Barcelona, bringing together some of the industry’s most respected artists to share their process, insight, and passion with students and professionals alike. Now in its 10th edition, the seminar has become a reference point for anyone working in — or aspiring to work in — visual development for film and games.
Workshops — intensive, hands-on sessions led by internationally renowned artists (such as our 2026 workshop with Nathan Fowkes) focused on subjects like colour, composition, and plein air painting, designed for those who want to sharpen their craft directly alongside the masters.

Our mission is simple: to create a space where knowledge is shared openly, where artists at every stage of their career can learn from one another, and where the Barcelona creative community can connect with the wider world of animation and visual development.

Over the years, NonStop Barcelona has welcomed a growing community of artists, students, and studios, and we continue to build on that legacy edition after edition — always driven by the same passion for art and storytelling that started it all.
